Import of Exhibits
We can arrange to import the exhibits through our own agents. In case the freight has been arranged through other channels, our freight agency will be pleased to handle the clearance of the cargo from the port in Yemen.
Imports of exhibits can be arranged through the organizers, participants wishing to avail this service should notify the organizers at least a month before the event.
The following documents and formalities are a must:
1. To facilitate the import procedure and to enable you to obtain a temporary goods entry permit a list should be submitted a month ahead of the event. The list should include the types, quantities and values of the goods to be imported. Shipment details and port of entry should be included in the list. The same has to be notarized by the Embassy of Yemen, Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Chamber of Commerce in the country of origin.
2. The following documents are essential and should be included after notarizing as mentioned above:
- Bill of lading which should include the shipper and the organizing company's name.
- Certificate of origin.
- Original invoice in triplicate stating type, quantity and value of goods.
- Packing list. Please note that if the packing list does not match the actual, you are bound to pay a fee not less than 300% of the actual value. Please try to avoid same by assuring the correctness of the list to the actual.
3. Exhibits expected to be exported within two weeks after the event. Disposal of exhibits is allowed after payment of the customs dues and with written consent of the organizers. Participants wishing to use the import facility through the organizers should provide adequate bank guarantee for the customs dues to the organizers.
4. The organizers will undertake the clearing and re-forwarding under written requests from the participant and will debit the clearing charges and any other charges that may arise to the exhibitor and payment should be done on sight and prior to commencement of the process.
